Great opportunity to be part of a friendly team as the Commis Chef of a busy Café Restaurant in Southwold. You will be assisting the chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of food to the standard required under the supervision of the Head Chef while adhering to hygiene and presentations standards.
Duties include preparation and service of all sections of kitchen as directed by and under the supervision of the Chef de Partie, on a daily basis to ensure a high standard of the final product and customer satisfaction. Input ideas for Menu planning to help to ensure a varying menu. Working in liaison with the Chef de Partie to ensure proper stock rotation. Under supervision ensure the smooth running off a section. Keeping section and equipment up to hygienic and safe working environment. Checking in food deliveries
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commis Chef with the ability to work well in a team and alone. You will have a good awareness of others, excellent communication skills and certified in Food Hygiene. Assessments of practical skills will be carried out prior to job offer. Live in accommodation available to successful candidates.
