An enthusiastic person is required for this newly created post at the University of Essex to handle a range of challenges in our complex VAT environment. As it’s an educational charity which also has commercial activities run through its trading subsidiaries, there is plenty of variety in the workload. Supporting the Financial Services and Taxation Manager, this accounting technician level role involves dealing with day-to-day queries, completing VAT returns and identifying opportunities to improve VAT recording and recovery. Ideally the candidate would be AAT/ATT qualified but if you have suitable financial experience and are willing to train you will also be considered.
